My Accounting Internship - 949 Words
Company culture is the identity embedded with the underlying business operations of the film. Culture, in many respects, is behind the service provided to customers, the metrics deemed important to success and the overall working environment for all employees. As such, culture plays a very profound role within the organizations as it competes with other very similar firms. Culture differentiates seemingly mediocre firms from those that continue to take market share. My internship allowed me to realize first hand how company culture can affect the attitudes and behaviors of employees in regards to success, motivation, and teamwork. My internship was within a small accounting firm, with only a small number of employees. The attire of that was required with the job was that of professional business slacks and shirt. The boss, and the four other employees wanted to portray an image of professionalism and attire was the catalyst for this image. He also did not allow any food or drink in the office as he was fearful of the image it would portray to others. The firm was very focused on the customer experience and how certain activities could diminish their trust in the company. The firm was neatly decorated with very little amounts of artwork. As a small firm, the company did not have the lavish budget to spend on visually appealing merchandise. Instead, the company relied on strategically placed pictures throughout the firm.
